Studio: More ink impressions

Here are some samplings of ink impressions I’ve been working on. Some of these are in progress. Instead of drawing objects, I thought I would do impressions of photo collage tracings.

This is my tool. Stitching on fabric.

    These look great, Anna!

  2. I like these – how about a little “how to”? And did you ever make the shower curtain?

These are looking great! I especially like the bottom two of the man reading..

  4. Hello Heidi,

No, I never made the shower curtain. I ended up using the fabric that I had set aside for this in the skirt that I made last December. Here is the post about it: (https://annakeck.wordpress.com/2007/12/09/a-weekend-of-sewing/)

As far as the “how to” question. I don’t really like to go into too much detail of how I make my work, but basically, I am using my stitchings as the tool. I am laying the tool over a substrate and painting on them with wet color (inks, etc.) , and the finished image is the substrate.

  5. Somehow i missed the point. Probably lost in translation 🙂 Anyway … nice blog to visit.

    cheers, Greco!
